The Australian made range is the Down Under II in 50L, 65L, 80L and 95L, the Infinity RF fibreglass fridge freezer in 47L, 60L, 82L, 85L and 110L, and the 40L Platinum Drawer Fridge Freezer. Every product on this page is part of that range. The Adventure Series fridges are sold in the portable fridge collection and are not listed here.
What Size 12V Fridge Freezer Do I Need?
Work it out from how many people you are feeding and how long you are away between shops. A 47L to 65L fridge suits a couple or a short trip. An 80L to 110L fridge suits a family or a longer trip. If space is tight in a 4WD or ute, the 40L Platinum Drawer holds up to 48 cans and slides into a drawer system.
Should I Choose a Single Zone or Dual Zone Fridge?
A single zone fridge runs at one temperature, as a fridge or a freezer. The Platinum Drawer is single zone and can be set anywhere from -16°C to 10°C. A dual zone fridge lets you keep drinks cold and meat frozen at the same time. The Down Under II and Infinity RF are both dual zone, and the Down Under II can turn one side off when you only need one.
How Much Power Does a 12V Fridge Freezer Use?
It depends on the outside temperature, how often the lid is opened, the size of the fridge and the setting you run it on. The Down Under II has Eco and Max compressor speeds, lets you switch one side off, and has 3-level battery protection so it cuts out before your battery runs flat. The Infinity RF also has low voltage battery protection.
What Warranty Comes With an EVAKOOL Fridge Freezer?
The warranty period for each model is listed in its product manual, which you can download from the product page. Claims are handled by EVAKOOL's own service team, with independent service agents across Australia. Red Dot units carry the full standard warranty for that model. The warranty applies to the original purchaser and does not transfer to a second-hand buyer.
